Frequently asked questions

Can the HD-S30 read barcodes from a phone screen?
Yes. The advanced optical module allows the scanner to read codes from LCD, LED/OLED displays and mobile device screens, in addition to printed labels.
How drop-resistant is the HD-S30?
The scanner has a metal housing that protects internal components from drops up to 1.2 meters onto a hard surface.
Does the HD-S30 require a driver?
No. In default USB HID mode the scanner is recognized as a keyboard and works immediately upon connection. Virtual COM mode is also available if needed.
