To add a prefix (or suffix) consisting of one or more characters before / after every scanned barcode, scan the codes in this order:
- Allow for prefix adding (or Allow for suffix adding)
- One or more character codes from the Character codes (Appendix 1) section below
- Exit add prefix and suffix mode to save the settings
