GTIN: 5907614664893 · SKU: SolidHand-KT02

The SolidHand-KT02 is a steel keyboard tray that clamps under the edge of the desk, with no drilling and no screws into the desktop. The platform measures 65 × 25 cm, carries up to 25 kg and runs on two telescopic rails, so it pulls out for typing and slides back out of sight when the full desk surface is needed.

caution

Check that you have received all the parts listed above before you start. If anything is missing or damaged, contact us before assembling the tray.

Assembly

Step 1 — Fit the rails and the clamps

  1. Lay the platform (A) upside down and put a telescopic rail (B) against each side.
  2. Fix each rail with four M4 × 6 screws (E) — eight in total — using a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 1: the telescopic rails B screwed to the underside of the platform A with the M4 x 6 screws E
  1. Bolt a clamp (C and D) to the front end of each rail with the M5 × 7 screws (F), two per clamp.
  2. Leave the tightening knob of clamp D loose for now.
Step 1: the clamp D bolted to the end of the rail with the M5 x 7 screws F, the tightening knob still loose

Step 2 — Clamp the tray to the desk

  1. Hold the tray under the edge of the desk and slide the jaws of both clamps over the desktop.
  2. Turn the knob of each clamp until the jaw presses firmly against the underside of the desktop. The desktop may be up to 45 mm thick.
  3. Check that the tray sits level and does not move when you press on it.
Step 2: the clamp tightened on a desktop up to 45 mm thick
  1. Pull the platform towards you to use the keyboard, and push it back under the desk when you need the whole desktop.
Step 2: the finished tray mounted under the desk, pulled out on its telescopic rails

Using the tray

  • The platform runs the full travel of the telescopic rails and stays where it is pushed
  • Load it with a keyboard and a mouse; the rated capacity is 25 kg
  • The tray needs no maintenance beyond wiping it clean and checking the clamps from time to time

Safety notes

  1. Do not exceed the rated load of 25 kg.
  2. Do not sit or lean on the tray, and do not use it as a step.
  3. Make sure both clamps are tight before loading the tray, and check them again every few months.
  4. Do not mount the tray on a desktop thicker than 45 mm at the clamping point — the jaws will not hold.
  5. Keep the small parts away from children; they are a choking hazard if swallowed.
  6. Do not modify the tray or replace the supplied screws with longer ones.

Frequently asked questions

Will the SolidHand-KT02 fit my desk?
The tray attaches with two pressure clamps under any standard desk with a flat, accessible edge. The clamps take a desktop up to 45 mm thick — check the thickness of yours before ordering.
How much can the tray hold?
The platform supports up to 25 kg, which comfortably accommodates any mechanical or membrane keyboard plus a mouse and a cable pad. You should not rest heavy objects beyond keyboards and pointing devices on the tray.
Do I need to drill into my desk?
No. The SolidHand-KT02 clamps on and needs no drilling, no screws into the desktop and no extra tools beyond a Phillips screwdriver for the rails. Installation typically takes under five minutes.
Can I slide the tray fully under the desk when not in use?
Yes. The pull-out rails let you retract the keyboard platform out of sight when you need the full desk surface, and pull it out again when you want to type.
Which screws go where?
The eight short M4 × 6 screws (E) hold the rails to the platform, four per rail. The four M5 × 7 screws (F) bolt the clamps to the front of the rails, two per clamp.
