Monitor mounts

HDWR monitor mounts (also called monitor arms or desk mounts) give you a stable, repositionable way to hold one or more screens above the desk. They save desk surface, let you set the screen at a healthy viewing height and angle, and make multi-screen setups practical without crowding the work surface.

What we offer

  • Single, dual, triple and quad-arm mounts — pick by the number of monitors and how you want them arranged (side-by-side, stacked, mixed)
  • Standard and gas-spring arms — fixed-position vs. effortless one-hand repositioning
  • Desk-clamp and grommet mounting — clamp to the desk edge or pass through a drilled hole with a washer
  • Laptop / mixed configurations — selected models include a laptop tray so a laptop sits next to the external screens
  • VESA 75 × 75 mm and 100 × 100 mm support — the two universal monitor mounting patterns; supports screens roughly 13 to 27 inches and 6-10 kg depending on the model

Monitor mounts FAQ

What are monitor mounts used for?
Monitor mounts hold one or more screens stably and securely above the desk. They free up desk surface, let you set the screen at a comfortable viewing height and angle, and make multi-screen setups practical without crowding the work surface. A good mount turns a desk into a more organised, ergonomic workstation.
What types of mounts are available?
By number of monitors: single-arm, dual-arm, triple-arm and even higher counts. Some models add a dedicated laptop tray so a laptop sits beside the external screens. By arm mechanism: standard fixed-position mounts that you set once, and gas-spring mounts that let you reposition the screen with one hand any time. Selected wall mounts and ceiling mounts are also available for specialist installations.
How is the mount attached to the desk?
Two methods are supported on most desk-mount models. Method one — a clamp screw grips the desk edge from above and below; no drilling required, the mount is removable at any time. Method two — a grommet mount passes a bolt through a hole drilled in the desktop and is secured with a washer underneath; this gives a flush, permanent installation.
Which monitors fit on the mount?
Any monitor with VESA 75 × 75 mm or 100 × 100 mm mounting holes on the back — that covers the vast majority of LCD and LED screens. Supported screen sizes typically range from 13 to 27 inches, and per-arm weight ratings sit between 6 kg and 8-10 kg depending on the model. Check your monitor's VESA pattern and weight against the mount specification before ordering.
What is the range of adjustment?
Each monitor can rotate 360°, tilt up and down, and recline left and right within the limits of the arm. Most HDWR mounts also support the 'tilt' (pivot) function — rotating the monitor 90° to portrait orientation, useful for reading long documents, code or vertical timelines. Gas-spring mounts add effortless height adjustment within a typical 30-40 cm range.
Can I mount monitors of different sizes on the same multi-arm mount?
Yes — each arm is independent, so you can mix a 24-inch primary screen with a 27-inch secondary, or a 13-inch laptop tray beside a 24-inch screen. Each arm must still be within its individual weight rating. For visual consistency, try to match bezel thickness across screens; for ergonomic comfort, align the top edges of the screens at roughly eye level.
Will the mount work on a thin glass or laminate desk?
Clamp-style mounts grip the desk edge with rubber-padded jaws and work on most desks — laminate, solid wood and tempered glass typically all fine. The desk edge needs to be flat (not rounded), accessible from above and below, and the desktop needs to be at least 1.5-2 cm thick. Very thin glass (<6 mm) may not be safe; grommet-mount is the recommended alternative there. Always test with your specific desk before loading the full monitor weight.
