The SolidHand-AS03 carries three monitors of 17 to 27 inches, up to 7 kg each, on one post clamped to the desk. Two of them hang on spring-assisted arms that move up and down with a light push and reach up to 703 mm from the post; the third sits on a head fixed directly on the 433 mm post, between them. Every screen tilts ±35°, swivels and turns 90° to portrait, and the cables run inside the arms.

The monitor screws M-A to M-F are supplied in three sets — one for each monitor. The clamp (D) comes assembled and is taken apart in step 1 into the top plate (D1) and the clamp body (D2); for grommet mounting the clamp body is turned into the grommet bolt (D3) in step 2.

Before you start​

Assembly takes about forty minutes. Prepare the following:

  • A second person — releasing the spring arms and hanging the monitors are two-person jobs
  • A Phillips screwdriver and a pair of scissors; both Allen keys (4 mm and 6 mm) are in the kit
  • For grommet mounting on a desk without a hole: a drill with a Ø10 mm (3/8") bit
  • A check that each monitor weighs no more than 7 kg and has VESA 75 × 75 or 100 × 100 holes, and that the desktop can carry the stand with three screens

Check that you have received all the parts listed above before you start. If anything is missing or damaged, contact us before assembling the stand.

Assembly​

Step 1 — Take the clamp apart​

  1. The clamp (D) is delivered assembled. Undo its screw with the 4 mm Allen key (L).
  2. Separate the top plate (D1) from the clamp body (D2) — the drawing shows both parts.

Step 2 — Fix the post to the desk​

The post is fixed in one of two ways. The clamp needs a free desk edge and leaves no trace; the grommet mount needs a hole in the desktop and gives a flush installation.

Clamp mounting (desktop 10–85 mm)

  1. Screw the top plate (D1) to the bottom of the post (E) with two M6 × 16 screws (K), using the 4 mm Allen key (L).
  2. Lay the spacer ring (I) on the plate — peel the inner part out as the inset shows.
  3. Slide the clamp body (D2) onto the plate from below and tighten it against the desktop with the Allen key (L). In this setting the clamp takes a desktop of 10–50 mm.
  4. For a thicker desktop of 45–85 mm, unscrew the clamp screw with a screwdriver, turn the bracket over as the drawing shows, screw it back and then tighten the clamp.

Grommet mounting (desktop 10–40 mm)

  1. The desktop must have a hole of Ø10–60 mm. If there is none, drill one with a Ø10 mm (3/8") bit.
  2. Cut the spacer ring (I) with scissors and fit the grommet washer (G) into it, as the drawing shows.
  3. Unscrew the clamp screw from the clamp body (D2) with a screwdriver — what is left is the grommet bolt (D3).
  4. Stand the post (E) with its plate over the hole, pass the bolt (D3) through from below together with the grommet plate (H) and tighten it.

Step 3 — Release the spring arms​

  1. Hold the two halves of the spring arm (A) together firmly and have the second person cut the cable tie around the arm with scissors.
  2. Release the pressure slowly and let the arm stretch to its full extension.
caution

The arm is under spring tension. Hold it firmly while the tie is cut and release it slowly — a released arm springs up and can injure you or damage the monitor.

Step 4 — Fit the arms to the post​

  1. Slide the spring arm unit (A) onto the post (E) and tighten the collar screw with the 6 mm Allen key (M). It carries the two side monitors.
  2. Slide the head (B) onto the post above it — this one carries the middle monitor — and tighten its collar screw the same way.
  3. Set the heights you want on the post before you tighten, then clip the cover (F) onto the bottom of the post.

Step 5 — Screw the VESA plates to the monitors​

Lay each monitor face down on a soft, clean surface and fit a plate (C) to its VESA holes — 75 × 75 mm or 100 × 100 mm. The TOP mark on the plate points up.

  1. For a monitor with a flat back use M4 × 12 (M-A) or M5 × 12 (M-C) screws with the washers (M-E), whichever thread fits.
  2. For a monitor with a curved or recessed back use the longer M4 × 16 (M-B) or M5 × 16 (M-D) screws with the washers (M-E) and the spacers (M-F).
  3. Choose the screw length that neither bottoms out nor is too short — the drawing shows the right and the wrong result. Tighten the four screws evenly and do not overtighten them.

Step 6 — Hang the monitors​

  1. With a second person holding the monitor, slide the VESA plate (C) into the head at the end of the arm from above until it seats.
  2. Secure it with the locking screw (J) — one for each monitor — as the inset shows.
  3. Repeat for the other two monitors.
caution

Do not let go of a screen before its locking screw (J) is in place.

Step 7 — Balance the spring arms​

Each spring has to match the weight of the monitor on it. When it does, the screen stays wherever you leave it and moves with a light push. Adjust with the monitors mounted:

  1. Hold the arm horizontal, as the drawing shows. Ask the second person for help if needed.
  2. If the arm drops, turn the adjustment screw clockwise with the 6 mm Allen key (M) until the arm stays horizontal.
  3. If the arm rises, turn the screw counter-clockwise until it stays horizontal.
  4. Repeat on the second spring arm.
caution

Keep the arm horizontal while adjusting and do not overtighten the screws — a loaded arm that springs up or drops can damage the monitor or the stand.

Step 8 — Route the cables​

Open the cable cover on an arm by pushing its latch to the side — do not pry the cover off with force, as the drawing shows — lay the monitor cables in the channel and close the cover. Run the cables along the arms and down the post to the desk.

Step 9 — Set tilt, swivel and rotation​

  1. Tilt each screen up or down by hand, ±35°. If a monitor does not stay at the angle you set, tighten the screw on its head with the 6 mm Allen key (M).
  2. Swivel the screens left and right and turn them 90° to portrait; the heads turn ±90°.
  3. Check that the cables are long enough in every position before you leave the stand in use.

Using the stand​

Once the monitors hang on the stand and the springs are balanced, every adjustment is made by hand:

  • Height — the VESA heads sit 123 to 407 mm above the desktop on the 433 mm post
  • Reach — up to 703 mm from the post on the spring arms
  • Arm rotation — ±180° at the joints, ±135° at the post
  • Screen tilt — +35° to −35°
  • Screen rotation — +90° to −90°, including 90° to portrait (pivot)

Safety instructions​

Failure to read, understand and follow all instructions can result in serious personal injury or damage to equipment.

  • Using the stand with a monitor heavier than the rated 7 kg per arm makes it unstable and can lead to injury or damage to the screen.
  • Follow the assembly instructions exactly. Incorrect installation can cause damage or serious personal injury.
  • Make sure the desk can safely carry the combined weight of the stand, the three monitors and all mounting hardware.
  • Use the supplied screws and do not overtighten them.
  • The product contains small parts that can be a choking hazard if swallowed. Keep them away from children.
  • The product is intended for indoor use only. Outdoor use can damage it.
  • Check at least every three months that the clamp and the screws are still tight.

Frequently asked questions​

What monitors are compatible with the SolidHand-AS03?
Monitors of 17 to 27 inches with VESA 75 × 75 mm or 100 × 100 mm mounting holes on the back. That covers the vast majority of monitors on the market, including widescreen and curved displays, as long as the VESA pattern is present.
Do I need to drill a hole in my desk to install the AS03?
No drilling is required if you use the clamp, which grips the edge of a desktop 10–85 mm thick. If you prefer to mount through the desktop for a cleaner look, the desktop must be 10–40 mm thick with a hole of Ø10–60 mm; the grommet bolt, washer and plate are in the kit. Both methods give a secure, stable installation.
Can I rotate a monitor to portrait (vertical) orientation?
Yes. Every head turns ±90°, so any of the three monitors can be set to portrait — useful for coding, reading documents or dashboards that benefit from a taller format.
What is the maximum weight supported per monitor arm?
Each arm carries a monitor of up to 7 kg, which covers virtually all standard 17–27 inch monitors. Check the weight of your monitor in its specifications before mounting it.
Why does an arm drop or rise on its own?
The spring tension does not match the weight of that monitor. Hold the arm horizontal and turn its adjustment screw with the 6 mm Allen key — clockwise if the arm drops, counter-clockwise if it rises — until it stays put. See step 7.
