The SolidHand-CGW02 holds two monitors of 13 to 32 inches, each up to 9 kg, on two aluminium arms fixed to a single wall plate. Each arm has its own gas spring, so every screen moves with a light push and stays wherever you leave it, tilts from +35° to −45°, swings ±90° on the arm and rotates to portrait. With the arms folded, the screens sit close to the wall; extended, they reach up to 307 mm into the room.

Before you start​

Installation takes about thirty minutes. Prepare the following:

  • A second person — the mount weighs 3 kg and hanging each monitor is a two-person job
  • A drill with a bit suited to your wall, a spirit level and a pencil
  • A screwdriver or a wrench for the wall screws and a screwdriver for the monitor screws
  • A check that each monitor is 13–32", weighs no more than 9 kg and has VESA 75 × 75 or 100 × 100 holes
  • A solid wall — concrete, brick or plasterboard with a stud behind the plate; a hollow wall needs heavy-duty anchors
  • A check that no cables or pipes run through the wall where you are going to drill

Safety instructions​

  • Caution: using the mount with a load above the rated capacity makes it unstable and can lead to injury.
  • Follow the installation instructions exactly. Incorrect installation can damage the mount or cause serious personal injury.
  • Make sure the wall will safely carry the combined weight of the mount, both monitors and all mounting hardware.
  • Use the supplied mounting screws and do not overtighten them — overtightening can damage the mount or the monitor.
  • Small parts: the product contains small parts that can be a choking hazard if swallowed. Keep them away from children.
  • Indoor use: the product is intended for indoor use only, in dry rooms. Keep it away from water, damp and extreme temperatures — using it outdoors can lead to failure and injury.
  • Do not use additional tools or modify parts that did not come with the mount.
  • Take care when tightening the screws with a tool, so the mount and the monitors are not damaged.
  • If the mount is not used for a longer time, store it in a dry, cool place away from damp and heat.

Installation​

Step 1 — Choose the spot on the wall​

The mount is designed for permanent wall mounting. Pick the position before you drill:

  • Height — the top of each screen should sit at about eye level of a seated user; the arms add up to 307 mm of reach and swing ±90°, so leave room on both sides for the extended screens
  • Wall — concrete, brick or a stud behind the plate; for plasterboard without a stud use heavy-duty anchors
  • Cables — the monitor cables run along the arms to the wall, so keep the power and signal sockets within reach of the wall plate

Step 2 — Fix the wall plate​

  1. Hold the wall plate against the wall, level it with the spirit level and mark the mounting holes with the pencil.
  2. Drill the holes with a bit suited to the wall and insert plugs or anchors matching the wall type.
  3. Fit the supplied screws with the washers through the plate and tighten them until the plate sits flat and does not move.
  4. Check that the arm assembly turns freely on the pivot of the wall plate — both arms should swing ±90° without touching the wall.

Do not overtighten the wall screws. The plate must carry the mount and two monitors — if it moves or the screws do not bite, use stronger anchors before you go on.

Step 3 — Mount the monitors​

  1. Match the holes of the VESA plate on the arm to the 75 × 75 mm or 100 × 100 mm pattern on the back of the monitor.
  2. With a second person holding the monitor against the plate, screw it on with the supplied screws and washers — tighten crosswise, without overtightening.
  3. Repeat for the second monitor on the other arm. Both monitors must be within 13–32" and 9 kg.
caution

Do not let go of a screen until all four screws are tightened. A monitor lighter or heavier than the rated load cannot be balanced by the gas spring.

Step 4 — Set the gas-spring tension​

Each arm has its own gas spring with an adjustment screw at the joint, marked + and −. Adjust it only with the monitor mounted:

  1. Lift the screen to the middle of the height range and let go.
  2. If the screen drops, turn the screw towards + to increase the force; if it rises on its own, turn towards −.
  3. Adjust in small steps until the screen stays wherever you leave it and moves with a light push. Repeat on the second arm.

The spring is designed for a monitor of up to 9 kg. Set the tension separately for each arm — the two monitors need not weigh the same.

Step 5 — Set the position and route the cables​

  1. Tilt each screen between +35° and −45° and swing the arms to the angle you want — every adjustment is made by hand, without tools.
  2. To use a screen in portrait, turn it on the VESA head; the head rotates a full turn in both directions.
  3. Lay the monitor cables along the arms to the wall, leaving enough slack for the full range of movement — a taut cable pulls on the ports every time the screen is moved.
  4. Move both arms through their full range once to check that nothing catches on the wall, the other screen or the cables.

Using the mount​

Once the springs are balanced, every adjustment is made by hand:

  • Height — the gas spring holds the screen where you leave it
  • Reach — up to 307 mm from the wall
  • Arm swivel — ±90°
  • Screen tilt — +35° / −45°
  • Screen rotation — a full turn in both directions, for landscape or portrait
  • Each arm moves independently — one screen can stay in landscape while the other is in portrait

Care and storage​

  • Wipe the mount with a dry or slightly damp cloth; do not use solvents.
  • Check the wall screws and the monitor screws from time to time and retighten them if they have loosened.
  • If the mount is taken down and not used for a longer time, store it in a dry, cool place away from damp and sources of heat.

Which monitors are compatible with the SolidHand-CGW02?
The mount supports monitors with a VESA 75 × 75 mm or 100 × 100 mm hole pattern, a diagonal of 13 to 32 inches and a weight of up to 9 kg per screen. This covers the vast majority of office and home monitors currently available.
Can each monitor be adjusted independently?
Yes. Each arm has its own gas spring, so both monitors can be positioned, rotated and tilted completely independently — including turning one screen to portrait while the other stays in landscape.
How does the gas spring compare to a mechanical spring arm?
A gas spring gives smoother, more precise adjustment than a purely mechanical spring. You can reposition each monitor with one hand and the arm stays exactly where you leave it, without the slight drop seen in cheaper spring arms.
What kind of wall is suitable for installation?
Mount the SolidHand-CGW02 on a solid wall — concrete, brick or plasterboard with a stud behind the plate. Before installation, confirm that the wall can support the combined weight of the mount (about 3 kg) and both monitors. For plasterboard walls without studs, use appropriate heavy-duty anchors.
Why does the arm drop or rise on its own?
The spring tension does not match the weight of the monitor. Turn the adjustment screw at the arm joint — towards + if the arm drops, towards − if it rises — in small steps, until the screen stays put. See step 4.
How far do the screens extend from the wall?
Up to 307 mm. Folded in, the arms keep the screens close to the wall, so the mount takes up little room over a desk or a counter.
