Product description

A 125 kHz RFID key fob is a passive identification device that transmits data contactlessly by radio. Thanks to the TK4100 chip, the key fob needs no power source of its own and is activated only in the magnetic field of an RFID reader. The 125 kHz frequency ensures stable and reliable communication over short distances, which makes the key fob well suited to access control, personal identification and goods management.

Each key fob has a unique, predefined 10-digit code that is permanently encoded and cannot be changed, which ensures security and unambiguous identification. The key fob is resistant to external conditions, including water and dust, so it can be used in a variety of working environments without problems. It works with RFID readers operating at the same frequency, so it is easy to integrate into existing access control and identification systems.

How to use

Using the 125 kHz RFID key fob is simple and intuitive, which makes it well suited to fast identification and access control.

  1. System integration. Make sure the access control or identification system you want to use the key fob with works at 125 kHz and supports the TK4100 chip.
  2. Assigning the key fob. In the access management or identification system, assign the key fob to a specific person or object — enter its unique 10-digit code into the system and set the appropriate permissions.
  3. Using the key fob. To gain access or be identified, bring the key fob close to the reader. The key fob must be within the reader's range, usually a few centimetres, to be read correctly.
  4. Reading the data. The reader automatically reads the data from the key fob and passes it to the system for verification. If the data matches the permissions in the system, access is granted or the identification is confirmed.
  5. Management and monitoring. Use the management system to monitor the use of the key fob, including access dates and times — this makes control easier and improves security.

Frequently asked questions

Can the HD-RKF07 code be reprogrammed?
No. Each key fob has a permanently encoded 10-digit code that cannot be overwritten or changed.
Which readers does the key fob work with?
With RFID readers operating at 125 kHz that support the TK4100 chip, i.e. the EM4100-compatible standard.
From what distance is the key fob read?
From 0.5 to 10 cm, depending on the reader — usually it is enough to bring the key fob within a few centimetres.
Does the key fob need a battery?
No. It is a passive key fob — it is activated only in the magnetic field of an RFID reader.
Is the key fob water-resistant?
Yes. The ABS housing is resistant to water and dust, so the key fob can be used in various conditions.
Will the key fob work with a 13.56 MHz reader?
No. The HD-RKF07 works at 125 kHz and needs a reader that supports this frequency.
