Product description

The HD-RKF22 RFID key fob is a passive device for identifying people and goods. It has a unique 10-digit identification code, which is used to assign data to the fob in your system. The fob cannot be encoded again with a different code. It is made of waterproof plastic and is small and light, so it is well suited as a key accessory.

The fob communicates by radio at 13.56 MHz and is equipped with a chip compatible with MIFARE 1K S50. It works with readers operating in this band, which makes it an ideal accessory for time and attendance and access control systems.

How to use

Using the 13.56 MHz RFID key fob is simple and intuitive, which makes it well suited to fast identification and access control.

  1. System integration. Make sure the access control or identification system you want to use the key fob with works at 13.56 MHz and supports chips compatible with MIFARE 1K S50.
  2. Assigning the key fob. In the access management or identification system, assign the key fob to a specific person or object — enter its unique 10-digit code into the system and set the appropriate permissions.
  3. Using the key fob. To gain access or be identified, bring the key fob close to the reader. The key fob must be within the reader's range, usually a few centimetres, to be read correctly.
  4. Reading the data. The reader automatically reads the data from the key fob and passes it to the system for verification. If the data matches the permissions in the system, access is granted or the identification is confirmed.
  5. Management and monitoring. Use the management system to monitor the use of the key fob, including access dates and times — this makes control easier and improves security.

Frequently asked questions

Is the HD-RKF22 key fob pre-encoded?
Yes. Each fob has a unique 10-digit identification number, permanently programmed at the factory, which cannot be changed or reprogrammed.
What frequency does the HD-RKF22 use?
The fob operates at 13.56 MHz, so it works with readers supporting this frequency range.
Is the key fob water-resistant?
Yes. It is made of durable, waterproof ABS plastic, which makes it suitable for everyday use on a keychain.
Will the key fob work with a 125 kHz reader?
No. The HD-RKF22 works at 13.56 MHz and needs a reader that supports this frequency — for 125 kHz systems use the HD-RKF07R.
