High-temperature UHF RFID tag for metal surfaces, 865–868 MHz, Tag-H4-2019
GTIN: 5906935200865 · SKU: Tag-H4-2019
The Tag-H4-2019 is a round, black UHF RFID tag made of metal, designed for metal surfaces in high-temperature conditions. It works in the EU 865–868 MHz and US 902–928 MHz bands, has an Alien Higgs-4 chip and withstands 280°C for 50 minutes and 250°C for 150 minutes. It can be read from up to 140 cm with a handheld reader and up to 270 cm with a fixed reader.
The tag suits the metallurgical industry, where metal components have to be identified and tracked during high-temperature processing. Its heat resistance and durable construction allow components to be tracked in real time, which simplifies asset management and improves the efficiency of the production process.

General instructions
Before using the RFID tags for the first time, read this manual carefully to make sure they have been installed and configured correctly.
RFID tag usage rules
The Tag-H4-2019 is a specialised tag — designed to work in harsh conditions, e.g. more resistant to high temperatures, shocks or water. Fasten it to a metal surface through the mounting holes; the tag keeps its reading range on metal, where ordinary RFID tags lose it.
Protection against damage
- RFID tags are passive devices and need no power supply. Protect them against mechanical damage to keep them reliable.
- Use specialised tags as intended and in suitable conditions to ensure they work correctly.
Protection against interference
- Electromagnetic interference: RFID tags can be susceptible to electromagnetic interference, so do not store or use them near strong sources of interference, such as electronic devices that generate strong electromagnetic fields.
- Reading data: to ensure optimal reading, store the tags so that nothing blocks the radio signal — for example, do not store them in metal containers that can interfere with the signal.
Maintenance and cleaning
Store and operate specialised tags in line with the manufacturer's recommendations for use in harsh conditions.
Storage
- If the RFID tags will not be used for a long time, store them in a dry, cool place, away from strong electromagnetic fields.
- Avoid storing the tags in places with extreme temperatures or humidity, or where they may be mechanically damaged, e.g. crushed.
Following these rules helps keep RFID tags safe to use and increases their durability and reliability.
