UHF RFID foam sticker, 902–928 MHz, for metal and non-metal surfaces, Tag-MR6P-6025

GTIN: 5906935200797 · SKU: Tag-MR6P-6025

The Tag-MR6P-6025 is a white UHF RFID sticker on a foam substrate. It works in the 902–928 MHz band, has an NXP UCODE 8 chip and reads reliably on both metal and non-metal surfaces: up to 2.8 m on metal and up to 1.4 m off metal with a handheld reader, and up to 4.5 m with a fixed reader. The label surface can be printed with a thermal-transfer RFID printer, so the tag is well suited to asset tracking in offices, hospitals, kitchens and similar places.

General instructions

Before using the RFID tags for the first time, read this manual carefully to make sure they have been installed and configured correctly.

RFID tag usage rules

RFID stickers are thin, flexible RFID tags that can be attached to various objects, such as devices, documents or products, to make them trackable. Thanks to its foam substrate, the Tag-MR6P-6025 also works on metal surfaces, where ordinary flat RFID labels lose range.

Protection against damage

Protect RFID stickers against mechanical damage, as it can affect the quality of data reading.

Protection against interference

  • Electromagnetic interference: RFID tags can be susceptible to electromagnetic interference, so do not store or use them near strong sources of interference, such as electronic devices that generate strong electromagnetic fields.
  • Reading data: to ensure optimal reading, store the tags so that nothing blocks the radio signal — for example, do not store them in metal containers that can interfere with the signal.

Maintenance and cleaning

RFID stickers get dirty easily, so protect them against excessive dirt and chemicals, which can affect the quality of the signal.

Storage

  • If the RFID tags will not be used for a long time, store them in a dry, cool place, away from strong electromagnetic fields.
  • Avoid storing the tags in places with extreme temperatures or humidity, or where they may be mechanically damaged, e.g. crushed or creased.

Following these rules helps keep RFID tags safe to use and increases their durability and reliability.

Frequently asked questions

Can the Tag-MR6P-6025 be used on metal surfaces?
Yes. The foam substrate of the MR6P-6025 creates an air gap between the antenna and the metal surface, preventing signal detuning. This allows the tag to deliver a reliable read range of up to 2.8 m on metal with a handheld reader — significantly better than standard flat RFID labels applied to metal.
What is the read range of the MR6P-6025?
With a handheld UHF reader: up to 2.8 m on metal surfaces and up to 1.4 m on non-metal surfaces. With a stationary (fixed) reader: up to 4.5 m. Actual range depends on the reader model, antenna gain and environmental conditions.
Can I print barcodes or text on the MR6P-6025 sticker?
Yes. The tag is compatible with thermal-transfer RFID printers such as the Zebra R110Xi4, Postek TX3R and SATO CL4NX. You can print barcodes, QR codes, serial numbers or custom graphics directly onto the label surface at the time of encoding.
How many write cycles does the tag support?
The MR6P-6025 supports up to 100,000 write cycles and retains stored data for up to 50 years. The NXP UCODE 8 chip provides 128 bits of EPC memory and 96 bits of TID memory for long-term, reliable identification.
