tip

Keep both keys in a safe place away from the safe itself. Never store the keys inside the safe — if the door is slammed shut you will not be able to open it.

Mounting the safe

The safe has mounting holes that let you fix it permanently in place. We recommend mounting it to the floor or to a wall using the holes and the two screws supplied in the kit. After fitting, check that the screws are firmly tightened and that the safe is stable. A securely fastened safe is far harder to carry away with its contents.

Safety

  • Never store your keys in the safe — if the door is slammed shut, you will not be able to open it.
  • Place the safe in a discreet, hard-to-reach place.
  • It is recommended to mount the safe to the floor or wall using the mounting holes and the screws included in the kit.
  • Do not leave the safe open and unattended.
  • Protect the keys — losing them will prevent access to the contents of the safe.

Maintenance

  • Check the condition of the lock and mechanism regularly — if you feel resistance, gently lubricate the lock with a dedicated lock lubricant.
  • Keep the inside of the safe clean by wiping it with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
  • Avoid contact with water and moisture — the steel structure is resistant, but prolonged moisture can lead to corrosion.
  • Check the wall or floor fixing to make sure the screws are securely tightened and the safe is stable.
  • If you notice mechanical damage, do not use force — contact technical service.

Frequently asked questions

How do I open the SecureBox-10?
The SecureBox-10 opens with a key. Insert one of the supplied keys into the lock on the front of the safe, turn it clockwise until the mechanism unlocks, then gently pull the door open. There is no electronic code or battery — the safe is purely mechanical.
What is in the box?
Each SecureBox-10 ships with the safe, two keys and two mounting screws, plus the user manual. Use the two keys to open the safe and keep the spare in a separate, secure place.
Can I bolt the SecureBox-10 down?
Yes. The safe has mounting holes and comes with two screws so you can fix it to the floor or to a wall. Mounting is recommended — a bolted-down safe is much harder to remove with its contents. After fitting, check that the screws are tight and the safe sits firmly.
What should I do if I lose the keys?
Protect the keys carefully — the SecureBox-10 has no electronic backup, so losing both keys prevents access to the contents. Keep one key on you and store the spare in a separate, secure location. If you lose the keys, contact technical service rather than forcing the lock.
Is the SecureBox-10 fireproof or waterproof?
No. The SecureBox-10 is a compact burglary-resistant steel safe but it is not fire-rated or waterproof. It protects money, documents and small valuables against casual access and theft. Keep it away from water and moisture, and place it in a discreet, hard-to-reach spot.
