Opening and unlocking the safe for the first time
To open the safe for the first time, first remove the rubber cap that protects the mechanical lock on the front panel. Take out the emergency key, insert it into the mechanical lock and turn it to the left, then turn the keypad knob of the combination lock to the right to open the door.
Battery installation
The safe requires 4 "AA" (1.5 V) batteries. Open the safe, remove the battery cover on the back of the door and insert the batteries, observing the correct polarity. Alkaline batteries are recommended.
Once the batteries are in place you should hear two beeps and see a green light, confirming the keypad is powered.
Setting the PIN code
The factory default code is 1234 — you should change it before putting the safe into use. A code can be up to 10 digits long.
To change the code:
- Press the settings switch on the side of the door, behind it. The orange indicator lights up to show the safe is ready for a new code.
- Enter a new code of up to ten digits and press the # key to confirm.
- The orange LED turns off and the buzzer sounds twice — the new code is now saved and replaces the old one.
If you mistype while entering the code, press the * key to clear it. Choose a code that is not a birthday or a sequence of repeated/sequential digits, and keep a written copy in a separate, secure place.
Keypad lock
Entering an incorrect code three times in a row locks the keypad for 5 minutes. During this time the control button does not respond — wait 5 minutes before trying again.
Replacing the batteries
If, after some time of use, the safe gives three beeps and the orange LED flashes three times when the door is opened, the batteries are running low and must be replaced.
Open the safe, remove the battery cover on the back of the door and replace all 4 "AA" (1.5 V) batteries with new ones. Alkaline batteries are recommended.
Safety
- Place the safe in a discreet, hard-to-reach place.
- Do not leave the safe open and unattended.
- Protect the keys — losing them will prevent access to the contents of the safe.
- The product is not waterproof or fireproof. Avoid contact with water and moisture.
Maintenance
- Check the condition of the lock and mechanism regularly — if you feel resistance, gently lubricate the lock with a dedicated lock lubricant.
- Keep the inside of the safe clean.
- Avoid contact with water and moisture — the steel structure is resistant, but prolonged moisture can lead to corrosion.
- If you notice mechanical damage, do not use force — contact technical service.
