Turning the scale on
Hold the scale upright with nothing hanging on the hook. Press the ON/OFF button — the display briefly shows 8888 during the self-test. After 2–3 seconds it shows 0.00 (or 0.000) and the buzzer beeps. The scale is now zeroed and ready to weigh.
Always switch the scale on with no load on the hook so it can zero itself correctly.
Changing the weight unit
With the scale switched on, press and hold the UNIT button for about 2 seconds to cycle through the units: kg (kilograms), lb (pounds), jin (half-kilogram) and oz (ounces).
Conversion reference: 1 kg = 2.2 lb = 2 jin = 35 oz.
Tare function
Use the tare function to weigh loose goods in a container without including the container's weight:
- Hang the empty container on the hook.
- Press the TARE button — the display returns to
0.00(or0.000) and showsTARE. - Place the goods in the container. Once the reading settles, the display shows the net weight of the goods only.
Weight-value lock
Press and hold the TARE button for more than 2 seconds to toggle the weight-value lock. The display shows L_ON (lock on) or L_OF (lock off).
When the lock is enabled, the reading freezes as soon as the load is stable and LOCK appears on the display — handy for reading the weight after the item has stopped swinging. Press ON/OFF to release the locked value and take another measurement.
Weighing
- Switch the scale on and wait for it to auto-zero to
0.00. - Hang the item from the hook and wait until it stops swinging — the weight is then shown.
- If the weight-value lock is enabled, the reading freezes and
LOCKappears; press ON/OFF to release it before the next weigh.
Do not exceed the rated capacity by more than 9 divisions (9 d, where "d" is the scale's division step). Beyond that the display shows the overload warning O-LD.
Turning the scale off
Press ON/OFF to switch the scale off (it cannot be turned off during the start-up self-test). If a value is locked, press ON/OFF once to release it, then press again to power off. The scale also switches off automatically after 120 seconds (2 minutes) of inactivity.
Backlight
The blue backlight turns off automatically when the scale is idle or the load on the hook has been stable for more than about 3 seconds. Press any button or change the load on the hook to switch it back on.
Safety
- When you switch the scale on, keep it upright.
- Lift by the top ring or handle when weighing. Do not hold the housing while weighing — it distorts the reading and can damage the scale.
- Avoid strong shocks or vibration during operation.
- The housing is ABS plastic. Clean it with a soft cloth and water or a mild detergent; never use corrosive substances such as benzene or solvents.
- When the display shows
LO, the batteries are low — replace them promptly. Remove the batteries if the scale will not be used for a long time, to prevent leakage or damage to the circuitry. - Do not disassemble the scale yourself. For any fault that is not caused by misuse, return it to the manufacturer.
- When the load exceeds the range the display shows
O-LD(overload). Remove the load immediately, reduce the weight and weigh again — constant overloading will damage the scale.
