Control panel

wagPRO-H50F panel: LCD display and the power/tare and UNIT keys
  1. LCD display — 32 × 18 mm, with a light blue backlight.
  2. ⏻ / T — switches the scale on and off, and locks the reading.
  3. UNIT — switches the weighing unit.

The scale has two keys, below the display.

Using the scale

Switching on

Hold the scale upright with nothing on the hook and press ⏻ / T. The display shows 8888, and after 2–3 seconds settles at 0.00 or 0.000. The scale is then ready.

Hold it by the ring, not by the housing — see Safety.

Weighing

  1. Switch the scale on and wait for it to zero itself.
  2. Hang the load on the hook. The weight appears on the display.
  3. Wait until the load stops swinging. Once the reading settles it is locked and the display shows LOCK.
  4. Press ⏻ / T to release the reading and weigh again.

Never load the scale beyond its 50 kg capacity.

Locking the reading

Pressing ⏻ / T during weighing locks the value on the display, which is useful when the scale hangs out of easy view. Press ⏻ / T again to unlock it and take the next reading.

Switching the unit

Press UNIT to move between grams (g), kilograms (kg), pounds (lb), jin and ounces (oz).

note

Jin is a Chinese unit of mass equal to 500 g, still in everyday use in Asian trade.

Backlight

The backlight goes out when the scale is not being used, or when the load on the hook has been steady for more than 3 seconds. Press any key, or change the load on the hook, and it comes back on.

Switching off

Press ⏻ / T to switch the scale off.

Safety

  1. Hold the scale upright once it is switched on.
  2. Weigh by holding the ring, or by hanging the scale from it. Do not hold the housing while weighing — that skews the reading beyond tolerance and can damage the scale.
  3. Avoid strong shocks and vibration during use.
  4. The housing is ABS. Clean it with a soft cloth and water or detergent; never use aggressive substances such as benzene or solvents.
  5. Do not dismantle the scale yourself. If a fault occurs that is not down to mishandling, send it back to us.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum load and accuracy of the wagPRO-H50F?
It weighs up to 50 kg with an accuracy of ±5 g. The maximum permissible load is 100% of the nominal capacity, so never hang more than 50 kg on the hook.
Which weighing units does the scale support?
Five: grams (g), kilograms (kg), pounds (lb), jin and ounces (oz). Press UNIT to move between them. Jin is a Chinese unit equal to 500 g.
How many keys does the scale have?
Two, below the display. The ⏻ / T key switches the scale on and off and locks the reading; UNIT changes the weighing unit.
The display shows LOCK — what does that mean?
The reading has settled and been locked, so the value stays on screen while the load swings or while the scale hangs out of view. Press ⏻ / T to release it and weigh again.
Why should I not hold the scale by its housing?
Holding the housing loads the mechanism from the wrong direction. The reading goes beyond tolerance and the scale can be damaged. Always hold or hang it by the ring.
What battery does the scale take?
A single CR2032 cell, supplied with the scale.
Why did the backlight go out?
It switches off by itself when the scale is idle, or when the load on the hook has been steady for more than 3 seconds. Press any key or change the load and it lights up again.
Is the scale suitable for trade settlements?
No. The H50F is not legally verified, so it is not for use in commercial settlements. It is meant for luggage, parcels, fishing catches and similar everyday weighing.
