Control-panel buttons​

The wireless display has three windows — Weight, Unit price and Total price — and the following keys:

  • [0]–[9], [.] — enter the unit price of the goods
  • CLEAR — clear an incorrect entry, exit the price-memory mode, or clear the totals
  • TARE — subtract the weight of the container currently on the platform
  • ZERO — set the display to zero when the platform is empty
  • MEMORY — save a unit price
  • ADD — add up the prices of a series of different items (totaling)
  • BACKLIGHT — turn the key backlight on/off and adjust its brightness (LED versions)

Using the scale​

Wireless operation​

The weighing base and the display communicate over a 433 MHz radio link (range up to 20 m), so the display does not need to be cabled to the platform.

  1. Power up the base first, then switch on the display (operation panel) — this is the recommended start-up order.
  2. If the display is not receiving data from the base, the Weight and Total price windows show ----, which indicates a wireless communication problem. Make sure the base is powered on; if its power is off, the indicator will not light up.

Zeroing and tare​

The scale zeroes automatically as soon as it is switched on. If the empty platform does not read exactly zero (for example because of ambient temperature or humidity), press ZERO to re-zero it — an LED or the arrow on the LCD lights to confirm.

To weigh goods without counting the container, place the empty container on the platform and press TARE; the weight is subtracted and the tare indicator (LED / LCD arrow) stays lit. The default zero range is 4% of full scale and the default tare range is 50% of full scale.

Entering a price​

The price is set with the numeric keys. The Total price updates automatically as you type, based on the current weight. If you make a mistake, press CLEAR and enter the price again.

Example: the item weighs 5 kg and the unit price is 105.75. Key in 1, 0, 5, ., 7, 5 — the display then shows Weight 5.00, Unit price 105.75, Total price 528.75.

note

To prevent typing errors, if more than 3 seconds pass between two key presses the entry is cleared and you start the price again.

Saving a price (MEMORY)​

Frequently used unit prices can be stored under a numeric key for one-touch recall:

  1. Press MEMORY — the price window shows ----, meaning the scale is in save mode.
  2. Key in the unit price, e.g. 1 0 5 . 8 5.
  3. Press the digit key (e.g. 5) under which the price should be stored.

To leave save mode without storing, press CLEAR.

Totaling several items (ADD)​

The scale can add up the amounts when a customer buys several different goods (up to 99 items):

  1. Place the first item on the platform — the Weight window shows its weight.
  2. Enter its unit price — the Total price window shows the amount for that item.
  3. Press ADD; the price window shows Add 1 and the running total is stored.
  4. Remove the item and wait until the weight returns to 0, then place the next item, enter its price and press ADD again (Add 2, and so on).
  5. Repeat for further items. Press CLEAR to clear all added amounts and the total.
note

When you finish totaling, remove the goods from the platform so the display reads 0 before the next weighing.

Battery and charging​

The scale runs on a built-in lead-acid rechargeable battery (4 Ah) or from the mains via the AC adapter.

  • When Lb appears in the price window (with a warning beep), the battery is low — connect the AC adapter to charge it.
  • A full charge takes about 8–12 hours with the scale switched off; the charging indicator stays lit while charging.
  • If the battery has been deeply discharged, charge it continuously for about 10 hours to recover it.

Display messages​

  • ---- — the display is not receiving data from the base (wireless communication problem).
  • Lb — low battery; recharge the scale.
  • FULL — overload; remove the goods from the platform.
  • FU — the reading is outside the normal range.

Safety and maintenance​

  • The scale is a precision device — handle it with care and do not drop heavy objects onto the platform.
  • Do not overload the scale; remove the load immediately when FULL appears.
  • Use a separate mains socket to avoid interference from other electrical appliances.
  • Do not leave anything on the platform when the scale is not in use.
  • Recharge the battery as soon as the low-battery alert sounds; continued use at low voltage causes an unstable reading.
  • Keep the scale in a dry place, away from excessive humidity and direct sunlight.
  • Check the scale's accuracy regularly, depending on how often it is used.
